REA President, Seth S. Lucas

My name is Seth Lucas- President of The Roberts Education Association.  I have taught sixth grade in the district since 2007, when sixth grade was a part of the Middle School. At the opening of West Vincent Elementary, I moved down 100 to the school I've called home ever since.

Over the years I have served as a building rep, head rep, REA secretary, elementary vice president, contract negotiation caucus team & table team member, and a variety of other non-official positions within REA and the district.

Although I grew up in Lititz, Pennsylvania (Lancaster County), our family roots run deep in Chester County and in our district. Branches of our Owen J. Roberts family tree go back to before the American Revolution and extend all the way to my parents. My own family now lives in East Coventry Township. In one short year, my daughter will be a proud North Coventry kindergartener!

I share this information with you for a few reasons. First, I think it is important for you to know a little about the person you've elected and tasked with the immense responsibility of representing over 400 members- a position I reluctantly and reverently accept. Not only do I serve as your representative, but as a stewart of what was built before us. More importantly though, is to help explain the vested interest I have in seeing our district be successful. I know many of our members could very well describe themselves in a similar fashion.

I look forward to serving our members and district as we work to champion our strong system of public education.

Supporting Our Community

Education happens when we come together as a community. Our commitment to our students and community extends beyond the school day and is a reflection of our collective OJR pride!
